The website offers a unique mix of rental company reviews, industry news, and valuable information for avid movie watchers.

MoviesInHouse.com Managing Editor Sean Turner stated, "As a group of movie buffs, we had been through the gauntlet of everything the DVD rental industry has to offer. We have been members of every company and have seen the pros and cons associated with each one. And what they experience on a day to day basis while making a film or television series? Film Industry Bloggers takes you behind the scenes and into the daily lives of the working professionals who bring entertainment to our screens.

Launching with over 20 Film Blogs, including top Hollywood Storyboard Artist Warren Drummond ('The Bourne Identity', 'Evan Almighty' and John Singleton's new movie 'The A-Team'), Production Assistant Brandie Posey ('Deal or No Deal', 'House M.D'.) and Brian Trenchard-Smith (credited by Quentin Tarrantino as his 'favorite obscure director' and helmer of over 40 movies and 200 television episodes), the site plans to host over 60 movie maker professionals by September 2008 — covering all aspects of the motion picture industry.

The website is the brain child of Film Director Richard Janes and Documentary Filmmaker Amy Janes. During the resent WGA writer's strike, the husband and wife team hosted Sunday brunches at their Hollywood home. "We opened our doors to friends, and as it developed, friends of friends, who were affected by the strike," comments Richard. "It was a place for people to talk to each other and get the impressing gloom, felt across Hollywood, off their chests. It was also a time for people to share interesting and funny stories about their jobs, their struggles to get movies and TV pilots off the ground, and discuss the pros and cons of film school."

The founders see the Film Blog Community as a way of opening up the mysticism of Hollywood and movie making. But they also see it as a way to unite a bruised community. "With film divisions such as Warner Independent and Picturehouse closing their doors and massive employers such as New Line axing many of its 600 staff, not to mention the impending strike by actors union SAG, there are many film professions who are nervous about the future," comments Amy. "We see Film Industry Bloggers as somewhere motion picture professionals can go to hear supporting stories of the highs and lows and a gentle reminder that they are not alone."

A minimum of four new film blogs are added daily including The Casting Director, The Actor, The Screenwriter, The Production Assistant, The Reality TV Producer, The Australian Filmmaker, The Documentary Producer, The Script Analyst, The Music Supervisor and even The Production Coordinator from hit TV show 'The Simpsons'. More bloggers are expected to be added weekly.

For additional information on the news that is the subject of this release, contact Richard Janes or visit Film Industry Bloggers.

About Film Industry Bloggers LLC:
Film Industry Bloggers is lead by Richard Janes who won a 2006 Los Angeles area Emmy® for his TV pilot 'Behind The Lyrics'. The Reflecting Pool follows a journalist who teams up with the father of a 9/11 victim to investigate the official version of the events.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 6, 2008 — The new investigative movie drama, The Reflecting Pool, marks its New York City premiere at the Pioneer Theater on Friday, July 11. This is the first time a dramatic feature film questioning the events of 9/11 will see an extended theatrical run in the United States. The movie will play twice nightly July 11-16 and July 18 with filmmakers Jarek Kupsc, Jodie Baltazar, and Joseph Culp in attendance for a question-and-answer after each show.

The Reflecting Pool follows an investigation by a skeptical Russian-American journalist who teams up with the father of a 9/11 victim to fact check the official version of the tragedy as documented in the 9/11 Commission Report. As they examine evidence and interview key eyewitnesses, the official story begins to crumble. The Reflecting Pool is the first investigative drama to present this issue in the spirit of such films as All the President's Men and JFK.

Writer/Director Jarek Kupsc plays Alex Prokop, a successful journalist who receives a mysterious 9/11 videotape revealing new information on the attack. Joseph Culp appears as Paul Cooper, the man who sent the tape and a driven researcher whose daughter died on 9/11. Though skeptical of conspiracy theorists and fearful that it will jeopardize his career, Prokop agrees to take on the story.

We follow Prokop and Cooper as they investigate the destruction of evidence from Ground Zero, the collapse of the 47-story WTC Building Seven, and the airliner attack on the Pentagon. The results of their investigation suggest the official version as presented in the 9/11 Commission Report purposely ignored or omitted evidence and testimonies to protect people in political positions, including the present administration. Prokop, plagued by the ghosts of his Communist childhood and trying to uphold the independence of American journalism, struggles to come to grips with this awful truth.

The Reflecting Pool is an intense, sobering analysis of the most controversial tragedy of our time — a thought-provoking study of a search for truth and the profound consequences of not looking for it any further than the nightly news.

Selected reviews
"The Reflecting Pool presents a story that I have not taken the time or courage to touch."
–Barbara Trent, Academy Award Winner, The Panama Deception

"The film illustrates that, as so often is the case, the truth does not set you free; it ties your stomach and conscience into knots. It will remind you of All the President's Men and JFK, films that also used drama to pursue political truths." –Joel Hirschhorn, Op-ed news

"The script is top-notch, the characterizations moving. If the film has a flaw, it's in trying to document so much evidence in a narrative thriller. Yet by and large, it pulls it off to deliver a chilling and effective message — maybe it can happen here." –Jim Cirile, Screenwriters Magazine

About The Reflecting Pool:
The Reflecting Pool premiered theatrically through American Cinematheque to a standing-room only audience on January 31, 2008, at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica, CA. The film screened in limited runs in February and March in Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo, and continues with other selected screenings. The film is an official selection this summer at the Maine International Film Festival in July and the Moondance International Film Festival in August. The film was recently picked up by Rialto Theaters in New Zealand for this September.

About the filmmakers:
The Reflecting Pool was independently produced and financed by Baltazar Works with Jodie Baltazar and Joseph Culp serving as producers. The Reflecting Pool is director Jarek Kupsc's third feature film. He won multiple awards for his debut feature Recoil and won Best Picture for Slumberland in his native Poland. Kupsc gives his view: "Most of all we wanted to tell a human story about what happens to people when the truth is kept from them and show the struggle one must go through for their own sense of integrity." He continues, "September 11th, 2001, was a defining moment in modern history–an event that propelled America toward preemptive wars under false pretenses resulting in the deaths of over a million civilians in the Middle East, thousands of American troops, and a complete disregard for the Geneva Conventions not to mention the Bill of Rights." Culp says, The Reflecting Pool is a way of taking stock of what has happened to our country after 9/11 and to do the most American thing of all–ask questions and demand honest answers."

About the Pioneer Theater
The Pioneer is located at 155 East 3rd Street in New York City. It was built in January 2000 and premiered its first program, The Blank Generation, in February 2000. Ever since, The Pioneer has hosted a mix of independent premieres, revivals of classic films, film festivals, ongoing special series, and a place to catch those great films in New York that deserve an extended theatrical life.

Contact:
Jodie Baltazar, producer 213.500.8756
Joseph Culp, producer 310.408.8023
Jarek Kupsc, writer/director 213.200.3832
http://www.reflectingpoolfilm.com

We had exclusively used these for publicizing this book."

"I am a busy executive so I did not have time or energy to follow the time consuming publishing or publicizing methods" said Kalpanik S., the author of 'I Met a Greek Goddess in Nashville'. ". The humor is quickly addictive and the words flow so well that it's hard to put down." said Jim Pinto, author, speaker and Technology futurist. "The pictures lure you to continue reading - it is the story of a smart immigrant, a modern nomad who doesn't mind trading one job for another thousands of miles away, is willing to take risks, enjoys people and appreciates life as it comes."

The kindle and the print versions of the book can be purchased at Amazon.com or at the book's website (http://www.greek-goddess.org).

For more information on how Sonia and Kalpanik used the New Media platforms and forums to publicize the book, please call Sonia at 858 731 6225 or email her.

Kindle, Amapedia and Amazon.com are registered trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc.
Burbank, CA. (PRWEB) June 6, 2008: "Maynard Dixon: Art and Spirit", a feature length documentary film written by Jayne McKay and Daniel Dixon, has been voted 2008 Best Western Documentary by the Western Writers of America.

The Spur awards will be presented at the upcoming annual conference of the Western Writers of America to be held June 10-14, 2008, in Scottsdale, Arizona. The film profiles the life and art of Maynard Dixon, one of the West's most influential artists. Narrated by Oscar-winning actress, Diane Keaton, a collector of Dixon's paintings, the film features over 400 of Dixon's works. Maynard Dixon's words are brought to life by singer/songwriter Don Edwards and the original soundtrack was written and is performed by Grammy-award winner John McEuen, a founding member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

"I chose to produce this film about Maynard Dixon because I've always felt that Dixon is truly one of the finest American artists who ever painted in the West, yet his name isn't widely recognized. Artists all revere Dixon, and credit him as a genius for his understanding of light, and his ability to mix colors that are so accurate on canvas. In addition, his illustration work deserves to be recognized right up there with the work of Remington and Russell.

My intention was to produce a film that would introduce Dixon's life and his work to the largest audience that I could reach. It was a thrill to show the film at the Vallarta Film Festival in Mexico last December. The audiences were so enthusiastic about seeing the work of an American Master painter like Maynard Dixon, and couldn't believe that they hadn't heard of him before. We now have plans to screen the film at venues in Europe and Japan later this year."

Comments about "Maynard Dixon: Art and Spirit":
"Jayne McKay has pursued the making of this film about my father, Maynard Dixon, with diligence and dedication, with artistic taste, sensitivity and downright dogged determination for six years. Jayne has produced a film which captures the spirit and breadth of my father and his work. We are proud to have had a small part in her endeavor."- John Dixon, son of Maynard Dixon and Dorothea Lange.

"This first film on the art and life of Maynard Dixon is painstakingly researched and brilliantly scripted. Jayne McKay's lively film provides rare insight and understanding of this giant among 20th Century American Artists," said Abe Hays, Paradise Valley, AZ.

"Jayne's film will bring Dixon's extraordinary life to a much broader audience who do not yet know his journey through a changing American West," said Donald J. Hagerty, author "Desert Dreams: The Art and Life of Maynard Dixon"

Comments about Maynard Dixon:

"Great American artists like Maynard Dixon had a big influence on us with his landscapes of the southwest, particularly in the clouds that he painted. Dixon had a wonderfully reductive way of organizing the world of the Southwest. He often painted towards the sun, so there is a powerful brightness in some of his work. Even though he stylized the world, he got a true sense of the weather and the lighting of the place."
-Bill Cone, Disney/Pixar Production Designer for 'Cars'

"To me, no painter has ever quite understood the light, the distances, the aboriginal ghostliness of the American West as well as Maynard Dixon. The great mood of his work is solitude, the effect of land and space on people. While his work stands perfectly well on its claims to beauty, it offers a spiritual view of the West indispensable to anyone who would understand it."
-Thomas McGuane

"When he was with the cowboys he was the sophisticated artist, while when he was with the artists he was a cowboy." -Dixon's wife, documentary photographer, Dorothea Lange

Official selection: Santa Fe Film Festival and Vallarta Film Festival

Contact: Jayne McKay
Cloud World LLC.
818-848-5470
www.maynarddixondoc.com

About Western Writers of America:
Western Writers of America, Inc., was founded in 1953 to promote the literature of the American West and bestow Spur Awards for distinguished writing in the western field. The founders were largely authors who wrote traditional western fiction, but the organization swiftly expanded to include historians and other nonfiction authors, young adult and romance writers, and writers interested in regional history. Winners of the Spur Awards in previous years include Larry McMurtry for Lonesome Dove, Michael Blake for Dances With Wolves, and Tony Hillerman for Skinwalker.

Spur Awards Schedule (During WWA Annual Conference)
Saturday, June 14, 2008
Producer/Director Jayne McKay will speak at an informal panel at 3:15pm during the WWA Conference
Spur Awards Reception at 6:30pm
Spur Awards Banquet at 7pm
The Awards Banquet tickets can be purchased on the WWA website $65.
www.westernwriters.org

Location of main Spur Awards events-
Chaparral Suites Resort
5001 N Scottsdale Rd
Scottsdale, AZ 85250
(480) 949-1414
www.chaparralsuites.com

Location of DVD and Book Signings:
Friday June 13, 2008 7-9pm
All of the Spur award winners will be signing DVD's and books, and it is open to the public.
Barnes and Noble
10500 N. 90th Street
Scottsdale, AZ 85258
Free

June, 2008 celebrates "Fathers, Grandfathers and Sons" at International Family Magazine. This special month of June highlights the stories of the men of the family. IFmag has brought to their pages three generations of storytellers and their visions that intersect rather than stand apart. Fathers and sons, sons as fathers, fathers of fathers; and the common thread in all. International Family Magazine also delivers Latin America in their 2008 World Tour - the beauty, the colors, the music, the food, the people - Fantastico!

New York, NY (PRWEB) June 6, 2008 — International Family Magazine celebrates the storytelling of Dads in June 2008. Having vowed to be a different kind of family magazine that not only caters to moms and kids, International Family Magazine delivers the men this summer. Filled with stories by fathers, grandfathers and sons, IFmag shares three generations of editorial treasures for the male side of the family.

Catherine Wayland, Founder and Editor of International Family Magazine had originally left a women's beauty magazine as a columnist to start yet another "Mom" magazine. Luckily she paused and did her research. The magazine stands and Internet pathways were filled with Moms, Moms and more Moms. And being a Mom, Catherine was thrilled. But launching another Mom magazine seemed unoriginal.

What if Moms and Dads shared a magazine? What if Moms, Dads, Grandparents, Kids, and Extended Family shared a magazine? And what if this magazine not only catered to the melting pot of the United States but also catered to the world of families? Big idea. Big World, Big Magazine. You need to click online to see just how BIG.

The June issue of International Family Magazine features a sequel of stories from May to June with its interviews of Roz and Craig Williams, Producers, Red Wall Productions, NYC. The June interview of Craig follows International Family Magazine's May issue on Mothers, Grandmothers, and Daughters and an interview of Craig's wife, Roz Wiilliams. "Doing a series on a mother, a father and their family life together in separate interviews is just the kind of thing that intrigues our IF readers," said Catherine Wayland, Editor. "We are giving both perspectives of family life from the different genders rather than just hearing from how Mom feels. If we are ever to fuse the family back together and shift out of a very fractured model of family, we have got to open up the dialogue."

Roz Williams in her May piece in International Family Magazine said, "I don't like it when people expect Moms to do all the childcare, nor do I like it when Dads are made fun of for playing the role of hands-on parent or not being the ultimate big breadwinner." Craig Williams in his June piece follows with the same line of thinking and praises the opportunity in the current U.S. economic model for men to be active fathers. Sharing his views that the paternal role of business life with long work tenures and company pensions are a thing of the past, Craig likes the new model of autonomy, entrepreneurship and the new "fatherhood".

June also kicks off the World Tour Stop in Latin America. International Family Magazine is an affiliate partner of the Hot Moms Club in Los Angeles and shares their Latin and multi-lingual vision. IF mag takes the time to highlight the work being done with their partners at Hot Moms Club and Hot Moms Espanol. Dayannara Torres, actress, model and celebrity mom brings her rich Latin heritage to the mainstream pathways of Hot Moms Club and the melting pot of America's mothers. IF mag celebrates the success of Hot Moms at their mainstream integration of cultures and languages into their social networking program.

International Family Magazine stirs the thinking pot, and warms the heart as well. The magazine brings onboard a new writer in June found in Bruce DeFrees, Jr. Bruce's story of his two walks with his Dad is so succinctly visual, the reader feels the fall breezes lift and smells the dust on the road. It is a moving piece on teenage life lessons, midlife reflections and burying a parent.

As readers to Bruce's story, we are given a peek into the momentary glance of any relationship. Like life, experience is filled with its own mortality. Once lived, it is over. There is a cautionary post note to Bruce's story to cherish our parents for the little time we have with them. Something like the cliché of raising children in reverse - be careful, blink and it is over. And no, your parents don't leave to go off to college, they die. It is a very final goodbye we make to our parents.

International Family Magazine found Kent Converse on a travel blog and in Vietnam and has been charmed ever since. A Vietnam War Veteran who is also a Rotarian, Kent found himself in Vietnam doing Library projects and on the pages of IFmag telling his stories. And what stories he weaves. Kent takes the reader in IFmag's June issue to Kansas to his Grandfather's farm that he calls a "Grandkids Paradise". The raising of watermelons and the events of small town rural life will charm everyone.

Cheryl Paley has been developing her "New Global Family" stories in her monthly column at International Family Magazine. Paley left a serious relationship devoid of children to become a single parent. She chose motherhood over marriage and commitment and has never looked back. But the life she lives now with an adopted daughter from Guatemala is new ground for her and many of her friends. Cheryl writes about it to share with other similar families.

Cheryl has brought a profound perspective to the new global family and her readers eat up every column like a last meal. In the June issue, Cheryl poses the question, "Why did my choice to be a Mom take me out of the dating game?" And more poignantly, "Why are there no fathers for Zoe, my daughter." Cheryl wonders this questions aloud and makes us all think about the cultural stereotypes of a single parent and the dating taboos that surround this person and makes us feel a little guilty for running in the opposite direction.

International Family Magazine welcomes readers to participate in both sides of the story, moms and dads. The fracturing of families with divorce, elders in nursing homes and the nuclearizing that have now evolved into simply parent and child alone without support - is a crisis of sorts. Or the ultimate freedom. Go online and decide for yourself. But read, read, read. This is a different family magazine and worth the argument with yourself or your friends and family. Or maybe you just miss hearing stories. The alternative to television - International Family Magazine.

Martinez seems to be enjoying his recent success in Hollywood. Earlier this year he landed a leading role in the film Oblivious, written by screenwriter Marlon Campbell. Oblivious is a major motion picture film overflowing with action, suspense and slated for a 2009 release. With the sensation of Mr. Martinez acting career and a thriving record label, he still manages to find time for guest appearances and auditions for other leading roles.

"Doing 'In Plain Sight' was a lot of fun for me, because I got to work with actors I admire. Paul Ben-Victor (Entourage), Mary McCormack (The West Wing) and Fred Weller were all great! Although I was only in a couple of episodes as a medic and officer, things like this are relevant to me exploring different characters, so that when I get a major role; I'm more well versed. Plus working on the show in my home town of Albuquerque, NM added to the excitement. I look forward to the series and hope to work with the network again," states Martinez.

Mr. Martinez will make several celebrity guest appearances over the next couple weeks. On June 7, 2008, he will speak at the Texas State LULAC Convention in Odessa, Texas. He will also appear as a celebrity guest for this years H.U.F. Awards scheduled on June 21, 2008, in Philadelphia.
